Who we are
Blakely Scott is a specialist recruitment business for adult social care leadership, registered in England and Wales (company number 13312390), at Elan House, 5a Little Farm Road, Segensworth, PO15 5SJ. We are the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact us about anything in this notice at info@blakelyscott.co.uk.
What we collect and why
Employer enquiries
When you use our "Discuss a requirement" form we collect your name, organisation, email and/or phone number, the type and timing of the role and any brief you share. We use it to reply to you and to discuss and deliver recruitment services. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to business enquiries and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Candidate registrations and CVs
When you register with us we collect your name, contact details, preferred contact method, the roles, regions and salary range you're interested in, any message you add and, if you choose to upload one, your CV. We use this to contact you about suitable opportunities and to give you career advice. We will not send your CV or identify you to an employer without your permission. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in providing recruitment services to candidates who ask us to, and the steps you have asked us to take. Please don't include sensitive information (such as health details) in your CV unless it is relevant to the role.
Leadership brief sign-ups
If you sign up for our social care leadership brief we store your email address, how often you want to hear from us and the topics you chose. We use it only to send you that brief. Our lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us.
Website usage
We count anonymous website activity — for example how many people start or send a form, view a case study, or click through to Learning Disability Leadership Insights — so we know which parts of the site are useful. These counts contain no names, email addresses, IP addresses or cookie identifiers. Our hosting provider also records standard visit statistics. This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Who we share it with
We share candidate details with a prospective employer only with your agreement. We use trusted service providers to host this website, store form submissions and CVs securely, and send email; they process data only on our instructions. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and candidate information for as long as it is useful for the purpose you gave it to us, and review it regularly. Leadership brief sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for a copy to move elsewhere, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Email info@blakelyscott.co.uk and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Keeping it secure
Form submissions and CVs are stored in a private, access-controlled system and are not publicly accessible. Only the Blakely Scott team can access them.
Changes
We'll update this notice if the way we use personal data changes, and show the date at the top.
